we have already tested a beta version in mysql and php and its promising.
nyc has a population of about 8 million, lets say 3 million are students, and 1.2 million are in high school + college in and around the city. if can get 1.2 million users how much would that affect the overall performance of the backend?

- possibly upgrade RAM if not enough to cache all indexes without swapping
- optimize SQL requests
- You could consider splitting your database on multiple machines for load balancing.
